Build your first app
Go from a sentence to a published app. This walkthrough builds a booking site for a yoga studio, but the steps are the same for any app.
1. Describe your app
Open the builder and write what you want in plain words. Say who the app is for and what people should be able to do. One or two sentences is enough to start.
A booking site for my yoga studio. Members buy 10-class passes,
book classes online and get a reminder email the evening before.2. Answer a few questions
Before it plans anything, Appmake asks three to seven questions in a panel next to the preview. Each question has a recommended answer already picked, so you can press Continue if the defaults look right.
The questions depend on the kind of app. A webshop asks about payment methods and shipping, a CRM asks about deal stages and email, a booking site asks who takes bookings and how people pay.
3. Approve the plan
Appmake shows a plan: the pages, the database tables, the services it will connect and a credit estimate. Planning is free. Credits are only used once you approve and the build starts.
Change anything you like before approving. Remove a page, add a feature or split a big idea into phases. Read more in Plan mode.
4. Watch it build
The chat shows each step while Appmake works: what it is thinking about, which files it writes, which packages it installs and which tests it runs. The preview on the right updates as the app takes shape.
If Appmake needs something from you, such as a Stripe key, it stops and asks with a secure field. Keys go into an encrypted vault and never appear in the chat.
5. Publish
When the tests pass, press Publish. Your app goes live on a free address like lotus-yoga.appmake.ai with TLS switched on. You can connect your own domain at any time from Domains and hosting.
From here, keep talking to Appmake to change the app, or click on anything in the preview to edit it directly.
