Versions
The API is versioned by date, and models have pinned snapshots. Your integration only changes when you choose.
API versions
Send Kalle-Version with every request. The current version is 2026-11-01. Requests without the header use the version that was current when your key was created.

Model aliases and snapshots
kalle-turbo-max is an alias that points to the newest snapshot. To keep behaviour fixed, use the dated snapshot instead, for example kalle-turbo-max-2026-11-01. The response always says which snapshot answered, and every response has a kalle-version header with the version that was used.
With 2026-09-15, a reply has at most one tool call, count_tokens answers 400, and max effort is not available. An unknown version is a 400.
Deprecations
We announce deprecations in the changelog and by email to workspace owners at least six months before a version or snapshot stops working.
